Screening of Road Safety Films in Move Halls
FPRA consider films are an integral part of our society and probably it is the best way to draw the attention of the viewers. With an objective to install regard for the traffic norms and create awareness among the road users, the Forum in association with the Commissionerate Police screened two short movies Ehsaas and Afsos in cinema halls of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack cities. The films were produced by International Road Federation (IRF), India Chapter. Ehasas is a film on drunken driving, while Afsos is on Supreme Court’s judgment to quickly shift the accident victims to a hospital by anyone immediately without waiting for any legal formalities.
The film highlights the significance of the golden hours, which is the time period from a few minutes to nearly an hour following traumatic injuries, during which there is the highest likelihood that prompt medical treatment will prevent death. It is well established that the victim’s chances of survival are greatest if they receive care within a short period of time after a severe injury.
